For the first time, a full-distance IRONMAN event will be held in Da Nang, Vietnam. This milestone marks a significant achievement and heralds a new decade for triathlon in Vietnam.

Besides, IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang, awarded 2024 Asia Bucket List Race by ASIATRI, is a multi-sport festival for the entire family.

Da Nang is filled with notable landmarks, spectacular beaches, and delicious food, which helped land the city on the New York Times “52 Places to Go” list. It is also located among three UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, and the Complex of Hue Monuments), so the entire family can enjoy your race-cation.

The race weekend will also host SUNRISE SPRINT Viet Nam (a short-distance triathlon) and IRONKIDS Viet Nam (aquathlon and triathlon formats), providing racing opportunities for everyone!

October 02-04, 2026

Runners will cross through five districts of the capital city and pass iconic landmarks including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Nhat Tan Bridge before finishing in the modern township of Vinhomes Riverside, Long Bien.

Athletes can select from 5km, 10km, 21.1km, and 42.195km distances, and we will also feature a KIDS RUN to encourage children to embrace active and healthy lifestyles.

The Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon has become a major annual tourism and sporting event showcasing the city's energetic and dynamic atmosphere. Starting from the Ho Chi Minh City Zoo, the route takes runners past iconic city landmarks such as Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ho Chi Minh City Opera House and Thu Thiem bridge before finishing at the Empire City Waterfront with beautiful views of the Ho Chi Minh City skyline.
