Hanoi, July 25, 2025 - Following the success of its first three editions, the 4th Edition of the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon will officially return on October 5, 2025, in the heart of Vietnam’s capital. Staying true to its mission of spreading the spirit of “Run for a Greater Vietnam” since day one, the 2025 edition marks a significant milestone, elevating running from a growing movement into a sustainable and healthy lifestyle within the community. As the flagship annual race of Hanoi, professionally organized at scale, the 4th Edition of the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is a powerful platform for athletes to celebrate the spirit of sport, ignite national pride, and contribute collectively to a more positive and active society.

This year’s event carries special significance, as it takes place in the wake of the grand celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution success and the National Day. As the first large-scale community sporting event in the capital following this historic milestone, the 4th Edition of the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon – organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam, under the direction of the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, with strategic partnership from Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) – continues its mission of uniting communities through the power of sport.

This year’s edition is expected to welcome 13,000 runners from across Vietnam and abroad, including professional athletes, amateur runners, celebrities, business leaders, and community runners. The steady growth in participation each year reflects a shift in social awareness, where running is increasingly embraced as part of a healthy and proactive lifestyle. The event continues to affirm its influence in encouraging healthy living, building personal resilience, and fueling the collective drive for progress in Vietnam’s new era of national rise. Beyond fostering physical fitness, the race remains a dynamic convergence of sports, culture, and tourism, offering a well-rounded experience where every stride carries the spirit of discovery and national pride.

Alongside its growing scale and influence, this year's season marks a significant advancement in event operations, highlighted by adjustments to the racecourse aimed at enhancing the overall experience for athletes. Specifically, the race routes for both the Marathon (42.195 km) and Half Marathon (21.1 km) distances will be adjusted to ensure race safety and minimize disruption to the daily activities of local residents. Comprehensive traffic coordination and control measures will be implemented in close collaboration between the Organizing Committee and relevant authorities, reinforcing the event's commitment to professionalism, order, and operational excellence.

With these route enhancements, runners will pass 37 cultural landmarks and modern urban highlights, offering a vivid glimpse into Hanoi’s rich heritage and ongoing transformation. With every stride, participants will challenge their limits and experience a city where timeless traditions meet bold, forward-looking growth. The Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is more than just a race. It is a journey that promotes culture, sport, and tourism, helping to celebrate Hanoi as the culturally rich and internationally beloved destination it is.
