Position Title: Digital Marketing Manager

Type: Full Time

Reporting to: General Manager

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Digital Marketing Manager to lead our marketing team of 5+ professionals. The ideal candidate will be an expert in digital marketing and/or online community building, with a strong focus on optimizing online registration processes to maximize conversion rates without the need for sales interactions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can select the most effective marketing channels, build and develop a high-performing team, and drive our events’ success through innovative and data-driven marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Leadership:

Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies:

  • Craft comprehensive marketing plans for each event in SEV’s portfolio, aligning with the company’s vision and objectives.

  • Identify and prioritize marketing channels that effectively reach and engage target audiences, both domestically and internationally.

Channel Selection and Optimization:

  • Evaluate and select the most impactful digital and traditional marketing channels.

  • Optimize marketing mix to maximize reach and ROI.

Team Management and Development:

Lead the Marketing Team:

  • Oversee a team of 5+ marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

  • Weigh the pros and cons of in-house versus outsourced marketing by function

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Recruitment and Training:

  • Identify talent needs and participate in the hiring process.

  • Develop training programs to enhance team skills, particularly in digital marketing and community building.

Digital Marketing and Online Community Building:

Enhance Online Presence:

  • Leverage expertise in digital marketing to increase brand visibility and engagement across all online platforms.

  • Implement SEO/SEM strategies to drive organic growth.

Community Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to build our own and nurture third party online communities to foster brand loyalty and advocacy.

  • Utilize social media, forums, and other platforms to engage with participants and enthusiasts.

Online Registration Optimization:

Improve Conversion Rates:

  • Develop and enhance online registration processes to maximize user conversion without sales intervention.

  • Implement A/B testing, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) best practices.

Data Analysis:

  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor funnel performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Make data-driven decisions to enhance the customer journey.

Content Strategy and Management:

Develop Compelling Content:

  • Oversee the creation of engaging, on-brand marketing content, including visuals, videos, and copywriting.

  • Ensure all content aligns with SEV’s values and resonates with target audiences.

Manage Digital Assets:

  • Maintain and update websites, social media profiles, and other digital platforms.

  • Ensure consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with sales, operations, finance, and other teams to ensure cohesive event execution.

  • Lead cross-departmental meetings to align marketing efforts with overall event plans.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Ensure marketing expectations of sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders are met or exceeded.

  • Collaborate to integrate sponsor messaging and branding appropriately.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Analyze Campaign Effectiveness:

  • Track and report on marketing campaign performance using key metrics.

  • Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget.

  • Ensure cost-effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

Innovation and Industry Awareness:

Stay Updated on Trends:

  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, marketing technologies, and best practices.

  • Introduce innovative approaches to enhance marketing effectiveness.

Market Research:

  • Conduct research to understand participant behavior and preferences.

  • Identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Proven expertise in digital marketing and/or online community building.

  • Experience optimizing online customer journeys and increasing conversion rates.

  • Background in the events, sports, or entertainment industry is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term marketing strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Deep understanding of SEO/SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and analytics tools.

  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven approach to problem-solving. Proficient in using analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English. Skilled in creating compelling presentations and reports.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and online registration platforms.
